School Accreditation

 Accrediting Commission provides your institution with the opportunity to have National/International Christian accreditation, recognition and affirmation. 

We do not offer government accreditation. Bible education, Christian discipleship,  Theology, Ministry, Preaching and Christian Evangelism are not accredited by governments. We believe in the separation of church and state and the freedom of Church/Christian entities to teach the good news of Christ. 
   

AACCSI has two levels. Membership and Acceeditation

 

Every Christian school is expected to submit minimal standards for Accreditation status.

REQUIRED STANDARDS 

Organizational Standard

  1. Be a Christ-centered, Bible believing school/ministry.
  2. Have adequate personnel to fulfill the goals and mission of your educational institution.
  3. Operate in accordance with appropriate state and federal laws.
  4. Have on file a copy of your legal document creating the educational organization.
  5. Keep records of students' academic work and provide transcripts or appropriate documentation of their records of completion.

 Structural Standard

  1. Have a physical address. Have enough physical space to accommodate staff, files and records.
  2. Have access to available media resources via library or online educational resources.
  3. Have adequate staff and resources to properly grade, evaluate and oversee a student’s coursework.
  4. Classroom space must be able to meet the students’ needs via physical classroom space or online instruction.

 School Policy Standards

  1. Policies must be available to all students online or in print. 
  2. Financial policies including refund policies must be made available to all students prior to admission.
  3. Faculty policies are stated in writing and distributed to each faculty member.
  4. Admission and personnel policies are in accordance with federal anti-discrimination laws.

Faculty Standards

  1. Faculty, staff and administration has an opportunity for input and administrative decisions.
  2. Faculty payment policies are non-discriminatory and meet federal and state guidelines
  3. Faculty, Graders, Advisors ratio reflects realistic workload between staff and students.
  4. Written faculty agreements are maintained.

 Curriculum Standards

  1. A copy of the degree plan must be clearly stated in writing.
  2. The institution has a committee or Board that oversees courses and academic plans.
  3. Degrees required must be within general academic standards.
  4. Requirements for diplomas, degrees or any level of certification should be consistent between the various programs of instruction offered.

 Evaluation Standards

  1. The institution must have a system for evaluating the students’ performance.
  2. There must be a system in place for evaluating the institution's effectiveness.
  3. There must be in place a system of evaluating Faculty effectiveness and performance.

 

THREE RECOGNIZED STATUS LEVELS

Membership Level – A member school may be in the process of development.
Facilities, policies, curriculum and staff may only be in the beginning stages and less than twelve months old. The institution must be in state compliance. Fill out the necessary application and pay the Membership fee.  Click here for Membership Application     

 

An annual report is required.

          

Candidate Level – A Candidate institution is one that has submitted an application for accreditation to our Board of Commissioners.  They have been in existence at least twelve months. They have a physical address, faculty, curriculum and meet the appropriate state requirements to be in operation. The candidate level is in the process of completing their self study and has paid an initial application fee of $500. This will be deducted from the full Accreditation fee of $995.00

Accredited Member Level– An Accredited institution is one that has met the Accrediting Commission's requirements and has been awarded the accreditation certification. 
The Accredited Institution has:

  1. Completed the Application in step two, candidate level.
  2. Completed the self-study (The self study is putting together the information/standards described above.
  3. Paid the Accreditation Fee
  4. Passed the site visit by the NAC representative. Because of Covid of other related concerns, we may utilize the Internet, Social Media to fulfill the site visit. Sometimes the site visit is necessary. The applicate institution is responsible for air fare and one to two nights  of lodging , two to three meals and transportation for the visiting Commissioner. 

An annual report  and yearly fee of $650 is required.
